Dikkat Köpek Var
Bir Sessizliğe Tanıklık
“Dikkat köpek var” tabelalarıyla büyüdük.
Korkmamız istendi.
Uzak durmamız, yaklaşmamamız, tehlike olarak kodlamamız…
Sistemin bize öğrettiği dil buydu.
Ama bu projem, o levhaları ters yüz ediyor.
Çünkü bu karelerde dikkat edilmesi gereken şey, bir tehlike değil;
Bir sessizlik, bir bekleyiş, bir varoluş biçimi.
Bu fotoğraflar, sokağın içinde yaşamaya mecbur bırakılmış köpeklerin yalnızca görüntüsünü değil,
varlıklarının bizde yarattığı yankıyı da sorguluyor.
Her kare, bir soruya dönüşüyor:
Biz neredeyiz?
Onlar nerede?
Ve bu şehir gerçekten kimin?
Bir köpeğin kıyıya yürüyüşü, arkasında bıraktığı ayak izleriyle bir haritaya dönüşüyor.
Boş bir arsada, sabit bir bakışla donmuş silueti, bir şehirde unutulmuşluğun fotoğrafı oluyor.
Sisli bir dağ manzarasında bir köpek, peyzaja değil, zamana bakıyor.
Ne arıyor? Belki bizden geriye kalan bir iz.
Bu proje, bir karşılaşma belgesidir.
İnsan ile hayvan arasında değil yalnızca—
Yalnızlık ile görmezden gelinme arasında,
Beklemek ile unutulmak arasında,
Orada olmak ile hiç var olmamış gibi davranılmak arasında.
“Dikkat köpek var” levhalarını her yerde görebilirsiniz.
Ama bu proje ile size başka bir uyarıda bulunuyorum
Dikkat, insan yok.
Dikkat, görmeyi unuttuğumuz şeyler var.
Dikkat, alıştığınız sessizlik aslında bir çığlık olabilir.
Ve belki de en çok dikkat etmemiz gereken şey, onların değil, bizim varlığımızın sonuçlarıdır.
Çünkü sokaklarda sessizce dolaşan bu dostlarımız,
birer tehdit değil,
birer ayna.
Bu proje, o aynaya bakma cesaretini gösteren herkes içindir.

Beware of Dog
A Witness to Silence
We grew up with “Beware of Dog” signs.
We were told to be afraid.
To stay away, to not get close—to read them as threats.
That was the language the system taught us.
But this project turns those signs upside down.
Because what needs attention in these frames is not a danger;
It is a silence, a state of waiting, a form of existence.
These photographs do not only capture the image of dogs forced to live on the streets;
They question the echo their presence leaves within us.
Each frame becomes a question:
Where are we?
Where are they?
And whose city is this, really?
A dog walking toward the shore turns into a map with the pawprints left behind.
In an empty lot, its frozen silhouette with a fixed gaze becomes the portrait of a city’s forgetfulness.
In a foggy mountain landscape, a dog stares not at the scenery, but at time itself.
What is it searching for?
Perhaps a trace of what remains of us.
This project is a record of an encounter.
Not only between human and animal—
But between loneliness and being overlooked,
Between waiting and being forgotten,
Between being there and being treated as if never there at all.
You can see “Beware of Dog” signs everywhere.
But through this project, I’m offering you a different kind of warning:
Beware—there are no people.
Beware—there are things we've forgotten how to see.
Beware—the silence you’ve grown used to may actually be a scream.
And perhaps, what we most need to be cautious of
Is not their presence,
But the consequences of our own.
Because these quiet companions roaming the streets
Are not a threat—
They are a mirror.
This project is for those who dare to look into that mirror.
